COCKBURN COAST PUBLIC ART MASTER PLAN
Client: Landcorp, WA
In association with Place Partners Brecknock Consulting prepared a Public Art Master Strategy, as part of the Cockburn Coast Place Making Strategy. The Cockburn Coast development covering some 300ha south of Freemantle involves a range of landscape environments, including foreshore, coastal dunes, ridge tops and a large reclaimed industrial area. The overarching Place Making Strategy includes a Place Making Master Plan, a Community Development Plan and the Public Art Master Plan. The Public Art Strategy provides an overall conceptual framework for the total development area and an art opportunities study identifying a range of potential public art projects for each of the proposed development precincts. Included in the strategy are governance guidelines, commissioning processes and strategies for ongoing asset management.
